DMCA Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026
MP4Converters respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. This page describes our policy for handling copyright infringement claims.
1. Our Approach to Copyright
MP4Converters is a download tool for publicly accessible YouTube content. We do not host, store, or reproduce copyrighted works — video files are temporarily cached solely for delivery to the requesting user and are permanently deleted within one hour.
We take copyright protection seriously. We actively encourage users to download only content they are authorized to access. Our service is intended for personal use of content you own or have permission to download.
2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner or their authorized agent and believe that material processed through our service infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notice to our Designated Copyright Agent.
Your notice must include all of the following to be considered valid under the DMCA:
1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are involved).
2. Identification of the allegedly infringing material with sufficient detail for us to locate it (e.g., the specific YouTube URL involved).
3. Your contact information: full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.
3. Where to Send Notices
Submit DMCA takedown notices by email to: dmca@mp4converters.org
This contact is exclusively for copyright infringement notices submitted in compliance with the DMCA. General inquiries, support requests, or other correspondence sent to this address will not receive a response.
We will acknowledge valid notices and take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the material in question.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notice must include: your name, address, telephone number, and email address; identification of the material that was removed and its previous location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your location; and your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may reinstate the material within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant seeks a court order.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, MP4Converters maintains a policy of terminating access for users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We will take appropriate action against any user who repeatedly uses our service to infringe on the copyrights of others.
6. Disclaimer
Submitting a DMCA notice does not guarantee the removal of any specific material. We retain sole discretion over all decisions related to copyright claims.
Knowingly submitting a false DMCA notice may expose you to civil liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including damages, attorneys' fees, and costs.
